Static Control Custom Cushion Bags

EWD Solutions offers five type of Static Control Custom Cushion Bags:

 

Series 2084 Static Dissipative (Pink) Zip Close Cushion Bag with Label: Reliable ESD protection in a reclosable, reusable and affordable bag. The tri-layer construction prevents static discharges and damage to components. With outer and inner layers of static dissipative poly plus a mid layer of Cancel^® cushioning plus a double-track, static dissipative zipper. Meets MIL-P-81997, Type I and ASO-80132-12261 (Navy).

Series 9083 Static Shield Zip Close Cushion Bag with Label: Maximum ESD protection in a three-ply pouch with Faraday cage construction featuring an inner layer of static dissipative 0.004 poly (meets electrical and physical properties of MIL-B-81705, Type II), a mid layer of Cancel^® cushion (meets PPP-C-1842 Type I) and a static shielding outer layers (meets electrical and physical properties of and MIL-PRF-81705, Type II).

 

Series 9083DKLF Static Shield/Amine-Free, Static Dissipative (Green) Lead-Free Zip Close Cushion Bag with Label: Lead-Free, RoHS compliant, and maximum ESD protection in a three-ply bag with Faraday cage construction, featuring an inner layer of green, amine-free, static dissipative, 0.004 poly, a mid-layer of Cancel^® cushion, and a static shielding outer layer. Bags have a Lead-Free label for identification.

 

Series 9073 Static Shield Cushion Pouch, Flap Closure with Label: Maximum ESD protection in a three-ply pouch with Faraday cage construction featuring inner layer of static dissipative 0.004 poly (MIL-B-81705, Type II and MIL-PRF-81705, Type II), a mid layer of Cancel^® cushion, and a static shielding outer layer.

 

Series 9073DKLF Static Shield/Amine-Free, Static Dissipative (Green) Lead-Free Cushion Pouch, Lip Closure with Label: Lead-Free, RoHS compliant, and maximum ESD protection in a three-ply bag with Faraday cage construction, featuring an inner layer of green, amine-free, static dissipative, 0.004 poly, a mid-layer of Cancel^® cushion, and a static shielding outer layer. Pouches have a Lead-Free label for identification.

Crescent Adjustable Wrenches

EWD Solutions offers two types of Crescent Adjustable Wrenches: RapidSlide Adjustable Wrenches and Chrome Finish Adjustable Wrenches.

Chrome Finish Adjustable Wrenches are made of heat-treated, fine alloy steel and finished with chrome plating. They feature wide capacity jaw that allows each tool to work with more fastener sizes. The wider handles provide more comfort and less stress to the hand. Tension springs stabilize the jaws and the knurl adjusts easily. Proportioned dimensions offer the greatest strength with minimum weight. The chrome plated finish resists rust and corrosion. Ideal for professional, industrial or home use. Offered with a red, non-slip cushioned grip or a satin finished handle.

 

RapidSlide Adjustable Wrenches feature a slide button mechanism in the handle for quick, fast adjustment. Ideal for DIY, industrial or professional use. The 1" jaw capacity allows the tool to work with various fastener sizes. The wide handle increases leverage. The debris shield protects the slide mechanism and maintains a smooth operation. Made from forged steel with a polished head and chrome finish that resists rust and corrosion. They have a SAE/Metric size indicator on the jaw.

RocHard MilProbes

These RocHard MilProbes from Beautech meet the full spectrum of circuit repair, rework and assembly needs from Through Hole to 2 mil pitch Surface Mount. They are designed to save the replacement costs of inferior tools and to avoid the inefficiency and damage caused by worn tools. The hex-shaped handles guarantee easy grip and control. The stainless steel probe sheds solder and allows effective use while soldering of desoldering. The stainless handle provides static free operation.

 

SMT/TH 25 MilProbes

These are the most versatile tools for TH and SMT for pitch sizes above 25mil. They have a useful life that is proven to be more than 3 times that of other brands.

 

Fine Pitch 10 MilProbes

These are the only tools available that can reach between fine pitch leads from 10-25 mil with adequate strength for lead repair and rework. Suitable for working QFP and other SMT components and boards.

 

Ultra Fine Pitch 1 MilProbes

These unique tools are made of a special, high-tech alloy to provide the strength needed to repair and rework ultra-fine pitch leads and pads from 2-10 mil. Suitable for working BGA, Flip Chip, TAB, COB, Chip & Wire, Wire Bonding, etc.

Desco Multi-Mount Continuous Monitor

The single station continuous monitor for operator and ESD work surface from Desco continuously monitors the integrity of one operator and ESD workstation, eliminating the need for periodic testing and recording. Ideal for individual workstations for assembly, test, packaging or other applications. The new and improved banana jack creates a more consistent connection and helps to prevent accidental disconnects with operator's wrist strap. Wave Distortion Technology provides real-time continuous monitoring for operator path to ground and presence of 1 meg resistor. True continuous monitoring (versus pulsed or intermittent) of wrist strap functionality and operator safety according to accepted industry standards.
 
The park snap feature provides means for operator to disconnect wrist strap cord when normally leaving the workstation without audible (false) alarm sounding. Work surface monitoring may be disabled, leaving flexibility for work areas where an ESD work surface is not used such as the operator of an SMT machine or oven. The full time, dual status LEDs and audible alarms activate instantly when a failure occurs, alerting user and supervisor of problem, allowing immediate corrective action. Minuscule electric current is required to generate waveform monitoring signal, making it safe to use with sensitive components and no reported case of skin irritation. The housing is easy to install with screws or adhesive backed Velcro strips. Optional mounting suitable to most machinery and work areas, even in hard to reach locations. Calibrated with accepted procedures and standards traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Made in the USA.

Wafer Handling Tweezers From Excelta

Choosing A Cutter

When choosing a cutter, EWD recommends knowing the features your application requires: Size of the head, head shape, type of cut and cutting capacity.

Size
Micro, Medium and Maxi are the three main sizes. Each size is available in different head shapes. Micro Cutters: Miniature in size and are for micro-electronics and fine wires.
Medium Cutters: Combine robustness, visibility and accessibility. There are a large variety of head shapes for precision work in hard-to-reach areas.
Maxi Cutters: Strongest, most robust size for general cutting in electronics. Cuts large wire diameters.

Cut
Blade options determine the shape left of a lead after cutting.
Semi-Flush: Leaves a pyramidal tip at the end of the wire. Suitable for soft copper wires and very hard wires.
Flush: Leaves a smaller tip at the end of the wire than semi-flush without reducing the cutting capacity. Finer cutting edges.
Super Full Flush: Leaves absolutely flush wire ends. Prevents soldering tags in soldering bath procedures. Suitable for soft wires.

Head Shape
The head shapes differ in terms of shape and design. There are six basic shapes:
Straight, Relieved Head, Tip Cutter: For horizontal and vertical cuts. Facilitates cutting in hard-to-reach areas. High visibility and accessibility.
Angled, Narrow Head, Tip Cutter: For precise cuts at different working angles. Offers visibility and accessibility.
Tapered Head, Side Cutter: The jaws have straight edges and taper to a point allowing access to hard-to-reach areas, but reduces the cutting capacity in comparison to the same size oval head cutter.
Pointed, Relieved Head, Tip Cutter: Narrowest head. Relieved underside provides access to extremely hard-to-reach areas. High visibility.
Angled, Wide Head, Tip Cutter: Also for precise cuts at different working angles. Offers high cutting capacity.
Oval Head, Side Cutter: Most widely used. Robust and offers the highest size for size cutting capacity.

If you've ever struggled with assembling furniture, you know how valuable video instructions are. Production Basics has put together a thorough collection of videos on their YouTube channel, ProductionBasicsInc. that walk viewers through assembling some of their companies products.
